About the Product

With a hard purple black outer shell and yellow orange pulp inside, each sugar palm fruit contains 1 to 3 translucent, soft and jelly like seed kernels. They resemble the hard coconut meat due to their nutty flavour and chewy texture.

Storage and Uses

Scooped out fruit sections should be consumed immediately. When exposed to air for a long time, they tend to become rubbery and lose flavour.
Gelatinous kernels are eaten raw or added to salads and desserts. They can be blended with coconut water into shakes or the gelatinous part of the fruit can be cut into pieces and eaten with milk and honey.

Benefits

Sugarpalm fruit pulp cures dermatitis. It is a natural coolant and prevents number of heat related problems.
Also relieves digestive problems and reduces weight. It is an excellent remedy for common skin problems like redness and rashes.
