Malvani Fish Curry : Marinate fish fillets or slices in red chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, Malvani Masala salt to taste and lemon juice for 30 mins. Can fry the fish if you like to have it without the curry.

Fish Curry : Heat mustard oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves then add in chopped ginger, garlic and onions and saute until the onions soften have turned to a golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes, sprinkle salt and turmeric and saute till the tomatoes are cooked add Malvani masala and saute, add 1/2 cup of tamarind water and allow it to cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Add coconut milk and bring it to a boil. Slowly add in the marinated fish pieces into the boiling curry, add water if required and boil. Serve with some Steamed rice, Fish Fry, Sliced onions.

Banana, Peas and Coconut : cooked in a fiery home-made Malvani masala. A delicious and flavourful vegetarian curry. Clean and chop the stamen and petals of the banana flower. In a pan heat the oil, add mustard seeds, add the chopped banana flower, peas, onion, Malvani Masala and salt. Pour in the water and cover. Let it simmer for 10 minutes till all the water is absorbed and the vegetable is tender. Garnish with grated coconut and serve hot.
