About the Product

Prime Metal Brass jyot is a traditional Indian oil lamp commonly used in religious and cultural ceremonies. It is typically made of brass, which is a metal known for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The lamp consists of a bowl-like structure at the base to hold oil or ghee (clarified butter), and a central stem, often adorned with intricate designs, that rises from the bowl. At the top of the stem, there are one or more branches with small cups or holders to place cotton wicks.

  • Religious Ceremonies: The brass jyot is extensively used in religious ceremonies and rituals in Hinduism, Jainism, and other Indian religions. It plays a central role in many festivals and occasions, such as Diwali, Navaratri, Durga Puja, Karthikai Deepam, and more. Lighting the jyot during these festivals symbolizes the victory of good over evil and the dispelling of darkness.
  • Home Puja and Daily Worship: In Hindu households, lighting a brass jyot during daily prayers and worship is a common practice. The lamp is often lit in front of the household deities or in the puja room to invoke divine blessings and create a sacred atmosphere.
  • Auspicious Occasions: During auspicious events like weddings, housewarming ceremonies (grahapravesh), and other significant life events, the brass jyot is often lit as a symbol of purity, prosperity, and blessings.
  • Meditation and Yoga: The soft and serene light of the brass jyot is believed to have a calming effect on the mind and is often used during meditation and yoga sessions to create a peaceful ambiance.
  • Temples and Religious Places: In temples and religious shrines, brass jyots are frequently used to light up the sanctum sanctorum and other areas as a sign of devotion and reverence.
  • Festive Decorations: During festivals like Diwali, homes and public spaces are adorned with decorative brass jyots and other types of oil lamps to add beauty and celebrate the festival of lights.
  • Cultural Events: In cultural programs and events that celebrate Indian traditions, the brass jyot may be used as a symbol of cultural identity and heritage.
