Ornamental designs are made by using pulse paste for use as a fried delicacy during various festivals. It is made by artists from Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. Prime ingredients used are Cowpea, Postodana Poppyseed and various types of Spices with Postodana Poppy seeds as its base. It is so delicate & unique that Rabindranath Tagore got so attracted that he preserved photographs of Goyna Bori in the art building of Shantiniketan. Due to lack of patronage this wonderful culinary art of Bengal is losing its eminence.
