Washing the rice, it is best to rinse it under running water. Put your rice to wash in a bowl and hold it under running water. Rub the rice with your hands gently. Rinse it until the water becomes clear. Use a large pan or cooking container, as rice double or triple in volume during cooking. (Dry rice will yield approximately 2-3 times their original amount when cooked.) Bring water to a boil, cover tightly, reduce heat and simmer until rice is completely cooked.
